Satellite Navigation Brands Free with Mobile Phones
There are a number of different sat nav brands whose products are available free with mobile phones.
Tom Tom Sat Navs
Tom Tom is the best known manufacturer of GPS Satellite Navigation systems. It produces not only in car sat navs but also sat navs for motorbikes and PDA systems. Tom Tom also produce fitted sat nav systems to be permentaly fixed into a car. Tom Tom sat navs are the most expensive on the market but also the most up to date. One of Tom Tom’s newest features is its fuel price detector. It will tell you all the nearest petrol station and the prices of petrol at that station. Tom Tom’s also come with standard route re-calculation and traffic warnings.
Navigo Sat Navs
Navigo (or Navigon as it is otherwise known) also produces a wide range of sat navs, although not for bikes. The cheapest sat nav system produced by Navigo is the Mobile Navigator 7 for PDA machines. It costs £89.99 at RRP and allows you to navigate routes and look at maps on your personal PDA. Navigo’s range of car sat navs start in price quite low for a basic machine which can then be updated with software from the website at additional cost. For example: if you want the software that spots safety cameras on your Navigo sat nav then you can download it for £19.95 from the Navigo website.
Garmin Sat Navs
Garmin are another well known Sat Nav company. They produce GPS Satellite Navigation systems for cars and motorbikes. The sat navs for motorbikes are high quality, incorporating the latest technology. Now all sat navs have touch screens but Garmin’s motorbike sat navs have glove friendly touch screens. This means that it is much easier to get what you want on a touch screen through cumbersome gloves. Some of Garmin’s car sat navs also have a ‘push to talk’ feature which means that you push one button and then have the freedom to give verbal instructions to the sat nav and tell it what to do.
My Guide Sat Navs
My Guide sat navs are not a well known brand of sat nav and they produce low cost basic machines. The lowest price for a My Guide sat nav is £59.99 which makes it one of the cheapest on the market. Despite the low price consumers have reported that My Guide sat navs are well worth the price you pay for them. If your just looking for something basic, that gets you from A to B without any fancy software and built in mp3 players then you should choose a My Guide sat nav.
Snooper Sat Navs
Snooper are also a quite unknown brand of sat nav but they have the most diverse range of sat navs. The produce GPS systems for cars, trucks and caravans and these sat navs detect things such as narrow roads and weight restrictions and allow the driver to navigate around there and therefore there won’t be any problems on the road. Snooper also produce golf products such as range finders which helps golfers to find distances between holes on a golf course.
